My favorite Anime

First post, I really have no idea how to start something like this in between projects. Why don’t I just talk about one of my favorite shows. As you’ve probably noticed I really enjoy using anthropomorphic animals as characters. So naturally one of my favorite anime works is Beastars by Studio Orange.

Beastars was the nexus of my passion to create the things I do. It tells the story of a young wolf named Legoshi, and his battles with his natural predatory instincts in the face of his herbivore classmates. I think the show does an amazing job of portraying social inequities, stereotypes, and a system that was designed to benefit only those at the top. The animation style is an incredible blend of 2D stylized textures combined with 3D animated models, creating a very traditional feel with a cool twist.

If you ever get the chance, it really is worth a watch.
